Elizabeth Public Library, 11 South Broad Street, Elizabeth, NJ www.elizpl.org 908-354-6060 A RESOLUTION OF TRIBUTE Celebrating the life of July - August, 2013 Volume 8, Issue 3 Dig into Reading! Beneath the Surface and Groundbreaking Reads are 2013 summer reading themes Children who sign up for the summer reading program Dig into Reading! at the Main Library or any of the branches, will receive prizes for every five books read with a dig and prize for the 25th book. A book club and a Tech is IT! technology club for third through fifth graders with hands-on computer and engineering activities, drop-in crafts and weekly Book Bingo are just a few of the daily activities for children at the Main and branch libraries. Teens will also be eligible for prizes for every five Idella LaPierre books. Programs are planned to encourage teens who are interested in publishing, volunteering at the library WHEREAS, the Elizabeth Public Library, Elizabeth, New Jersey, and making a difference in teen programs offered. A recognizes the passing of Idella La Pierre as a member of the banned book program at the Main Library, random Library Board of Trustees and a tremendous loss for our drawings for prizes for banned book reviews, a series Library; and of e-Resource classes, a New Jersey archaeologist at WHEREAS, Ms. LaPierre was appointed in 1998 and served until her death in 2013, she held the offices of President, Vice President, and Secretary, and served with distinction; and the Elmora Branch, and Archeological Jeopardy will fill out offerings for adults as well as teens.
